Are you a female entrepreneur ready to take the next step with your business? Do you need to present the best business case for new investment and need to know where to look?
We are running two crucial workshops for you in partnership with Martin Aitken – accountants and business advisers. Martin Aitken have helped many young businesses get ‘investor ready’ and successfully raise finance. Please note, you do not have to attend both sessions.
Workshop 2: Sources and Types of Funding
During this webinar, we will look at:
- Types & sources finance: equity finance, debt capital, alternative finance e.g. crowdfunding, competitions, and grants & economic incentives
- Equity vs Debt – the impact on the business, the balance sheet and the conditions that come attached to the funding
- Valuation – how much do you dilute?
- Due diligence – purpose and preparing for due diligence
- Other considerations e.g. security, guarantees
- Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Seed EIS: qualifying conditions and tax reliefs available to the business and the investors
- Why having a ‘Cocktail of Funds’ is likely to be the route most travelled and bringing the cocktail together.
