West Lothian Business Support Overview 2025 – 2026
It’s been another exciting year supporting West Lothian businesses, and the Invest in West Lothian and Business Gateway West Lothian team are delighted to share an overview of the support provided in the 2025 – 2026 business year.

Highlights include:
- 321 new businesses supported at the start up stage, which resulted in 378 new jobs created in the local area
- 176 of the businesses started were owned by women, and 43 were owned by ethnic minorities
- 636 cases of unique business support was provided, including support for 53 social enterprises
- £505,707 of funding was provided to established businesses and £108,809 was provided to new businesses
- 395 delegates attended workshops covering a variety of topics
