Job Description:
Home Instead West Lothiansupport clients across our local area, from Livingston to Linlithgow, Bathgate to Broxburn, Winchburgh to Whitburn and everywhere in between. We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team of Care Professionals / Care Assistants as from January 2026. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing personal care, companionship and home help to older people to allow them to live independently in their own homes.
Experience and Qualifications:
You do not need any home care experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistant and we encourage people from different sectors to apply, whether that is: NHS, retail, hospitality, childcare, customer service, delivery driving. We provide FULL training from the start. Previous care experience is welcome, but not required. This could be from working in a care home, as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or in the NHS. It could also be from working as a volunteer, or personal experience of caring for a loved one. A valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred, as some of our clients require accompanying to Doctor's visits and other appointments.
