BUSINESS FUNDING
TRADE DEVELOPMENT GRANT

Exhibitions are the ideal way to market your goods and services and raise your company's profile. With this in mind, the Trade Development Grant has been developed to help businesses grow their business wider than the local market.
Funding is available for business to attend exhibitions in a wide range of industry sectors. Funding of up to 50% of eligible costs (ex VAT) up to a maximum of £2,000 is available for businesses which meet the criteria. The minimum grant will be £250.
Eligible Costs include renting, setting up and running an exhibition space, stand, electricity, and marketing costs such as the production of banners, brochures and other promotional material.
The grant will also cover accommodation and air/rail travel costs.
Exclusions to the fund:
- Staff Costs
- Subsistence costs (eg. food & drink, hospitality)
- Fuel costs, hire car costs, transfers and parking fees.

Our budgets are limited. Grants are awarded at our discretion and based on their likely economic impact. Where a business is awarded a grant, they may not reapply for further funding within 18 months.
Please note that projects funded must be completed by the 31st of January 2026.
