Funding and support from West Lothian Council’s Economic Development service has helped local business Edinburgh Documentary Films launch successfully.
Edinburgh Documentary Films was established in 2023 when filmmakers Thomas Hogben and Kieran Hennigan decided to combine their talents to create documentaries that they are passionate about. To help them navigate the start up process, they reached out to the Business Gateway West Lothian team.
With the support of their dedicated adviser, they were able to build a business plan that gave them a clear path to follow. They also successfully applied for the High Growth Start Up Grant, which allowed them to invest in a full editing suite which enabled them to bring post production in house, increasing productivity and efficiency.
