Join us on Thursday, the 3rd of September, for our brand new ‘Building a Business that Thrives’ workshop to learn how to continue growing your business with confidence.

This session will be led by Business Gateway West Lothian’s Start Up Adviser, Lenna Gray and Marketing Officer, Emma Peters. Lenna has over 25 years of experience supporting local businesses, with a special interest in helping entrepreneurs understand their business finances. Emma has managed the marketing activity for Invest in West Lothian and Business Gateway West Lothian for over 3 years and is passionate about delivering creative campaigns that generate results. Together, they will be helping attendees understand their business finances and improve their marketing activity.

During the session, they will be covering a wide range of topics, including:

• What financial records you should be keeping
• How to prepare for your first tax return
• Allowable expenses
• Time management tips to help you increase productivity and efficiency
• The marketing channels that you should be using to reach your target market
• How to plan and schedule high quality social media content
• How to build an engaged audience
• Content ideas
• Networking tips for beginners

You will leave the session with an improved understanding of the financial requirements your business must follow, the marketing and social media landscape, and what you need to do to move your business forward. Most importantly, you will have increased confidence in yourself and your business.

We would recommend this workshop for businesses that have been trading for 6 – 12 months.
