Flexible working is talked about a lot — but what does it actually look like in practice?

This year marks the sixth year that Flexibility Works has tracked flexible working in Scotland. In this one-hour online session, they’ll share insights from Flex for Life 2026, based on this year’s survey data from:

• Over 1,000 workers
• 250 senior business leaders
• 200 unemployed adults actively looking for work

Together, these responses provide a clear, up-to-date picture of how flexible working is being used — and where challenges remain.

In the session, they’ll explore:

• What’s genuinely changing, what’s staying the same, and what’s often misunderstood
• Who flexible working is opening doors for — and who may still be missing out
• What the evidence shows works well in practice, and what employers may want to consider next

The session is grounded in real data and real experience, and is designed to help employers make sense of the current landscape and approach flexible working with greater confidence.
