Linlithgow Named Best Place to Live in Scotland

Linlithgow has recently been named the best place to live in Scotland by The Sunday Times!
The town, which is based in West Lothian, was praised in the annual Best Places to Live guide for its strong community spirit, good schools and convenient location for commuters travelling to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. It also received recognition for its popular high street, outdoor spaces, and the wide variety of community activities.

Funding for Businesses in West Lothian

The Invest in West Lothian team have extensive experience of preparing funding packages for local businesses of all sizes. Each month, we will highlight a new funding opportunity that is currently available to eligible businesses in the area.
Economic Development Fund
We are proud to help West Lothian businesses develop their workforces by providing a variety of training and upskilling opportunities for employees.
With our exciting Economic Development Fund, eligible local businesses can receive funding of up to £5,000 towards training courses delivered by the fantastic West Lothian College team. There are a wide range of accredited and non-accredited courses included in the programme that can help employees improve their skills and knowledge, resulting in improved business performance and productivity.

Upcoming Events
Think Brand, Not Business
On Tuesday, the 14th of April, the West Lothian Chamber of Commerce are hosting an interactive ‘Think Brand, Not Business’ workshop. This will be delivered by expert Giles Etherington, who will explain why a brand is so important and how creating a brand for your business will help you to connect with more of your ideal clients. This is taking place from 10:00am – 1:00pm at the Mercure Hotel in Livingston.
