West Lothian Garage is Crowned Best in UK

A family-run West Lothian garage has been crowned the best in the UK after its happy customers voted for it.

The Garage Whitburn won the overall 2021 National Garage Star Award after securing the Scottish regional trophy for the second year in a row by industry watchdog The Motor Ombudsman.

It came out top after The Motor Ombudsman received nearly 1100 nominations from customers across the UK.

Judges praised The Garage Whitburn for the team’s unrelenting commitment to providing customers with the highest level of service, for hosting vehicle maintenance classes for local motorists, and for its charitable work.

The Garage has always been at the forefront when it comes to helping its community and organises an impressive float for gala days and Santa’s sleigh at Christmas.

Staff also provide resources, sponsorship and volunteer time to many community groups and organisations.

Boss Ian Robertson said: “The award is testimony to the hard work of the entire team, who always look to go beyond the call of duty, and for the countless hours that they put in during their spare time to voluntarily help others and to carry out fantastic work in the community.

“We are extremely grateful to have our efforts recognised by our valued customers.”
