We provide tailored one-on-one appointments, scheduled at times and locations that work best for you. Together, we’ll identify your employability goals and support your journey toward meaningful employment.
What to Expect at our Appointments
Our appointments take place at various locations across West Lothian. When booking, we’ll accommodate you at an office that best suits your needs. You’ll meet with the same adviser throughout your journey, ensuring consistency and a strong working relationship.
Each session is tailored to your individual wants and needs. Whether you’re unsure where to start, need help creating a CV, completing application forms, or want tips and techniques for interviews, your adviser is here to guide you.
Once we’ve identified your goals and aspirations, we’ll work together to create a clear action plan outlining the steps to get there. If training is part of your plan, we’ll also assess your eligibility for funding support.

Employer Recruitment Incentive (ERI)
We offer eligible West Lothian businesses financial incentives towards salary costs when they hire local people who are currently looking for work. This funding helps create new, sustainable job opportunities. Once you're registered with our advisers, you'll be kept up to date with relevant vacancies. You can also approach eligible employers directly and let them know you're eligible for this funding—making you an even more attractive candidate.
Graduate Work Experience
Our graduate work experience is designed to assist graduates residing in West Lothian who are currently unemployed or underemployed. It provides an opportunity for them to gain valuable work experience through a paid placement within a West Lothian Council service, with the aim of achieving sustainable employment in their preferred career field.
