Take part in the DFN Project SEARCH Internship Programme to gain real world work experience, improve your skills and knowledge, and increase your confidence!

DFN Project SEARCH is an internationally recognised, work-focused supported internship programme for young people that are based in West Lothian and are aged 18 - 29 with learning disabilities and/or who are neurodivergent. The programme actively prepares participants for the world of work and supports their transition into full-time, paid employment.

Commissioned by West Lothian Council, and delivered with coaching from the Supported Employment Service and teaching from Adult Learning, interns are based full-time with a host business and receive structured mentoring throughout the programme.

This year, our host business is the local logistics firm, GXO. During the programme, participants will complete 10-week placements within 3 different departments: Warehouse, Office and Facilities. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a variety of different areas and gain transferable skills.
