Learn more about the exciting DFN Project SEARCH Internship Programme and find out how you can get involved!

DFN Project SEARCH is an internationally recognised, work-focused supported internship programme for young people aged 18 - 29 with learning disabilities and/or who are neurodivergent. The programme actively prepares participants for the world of work and supports their transition into full-time, paid employment.

Commissioned by West Lothian Council, and delivered with coaching from the Supported Employment Service and teaching from Adult Learning, interns are based full-time with a host business and receive structured mentoring throughout the programme. This year, our host business is the local logistics firm, GXO.

On Wednesday, the 22nd of April, we will be hosting a free online Information Session for West Lothian residents that are interested in taking part in the programme and partner organisations that may be interested in referring clients. Join us to:

  • Learn more about the DFN Project SEARCH Internship Programme
  • Get an overview of the programme structure and timeline
  •  Learn more about our host business, GXO
  • Discover the benefits of taking part in the programme
  • Have your questions about the programme answered.

If you cannot attend the session on the 22nd, we are repeating the session on Thursday, the 23rd of April, from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. You can book your space for this here. Or, if you cannot attend either information session, but would like to join the programme waitlist, you can do so here.
