Job Description:
Encourage individuals to take part in creative and recreational activities while supporting them with daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping, and personal care. Help people build independence, confidence, and communication skills by working collaboratively with families, health professionals, and other agencies. Maintain accurate records, contribute to care plans, and promote dignity, respect, and inclusion in all aspects of care.
Experience and Qualifications:
A compassionate, person-centred approach is essential, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills. You should be reliable, flexible, and maintain a positive attitude, with basic IT and record-keeping abilities. Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or additional support needs is desirable, as is knowledge of support planning and safeguarding practices. A driver’s licence may also be required, depending on the service location.
