Job Description:
As Assistant Unit Manager you would be responsible for supporting the manager in relation to day to day operation of the care home, ensuring a safe, supportive, and person-centred environment for individuals, visitors and staff.
To oversee with the manager, the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
Manage and support a team of care and support staff.
Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate and legislative standard’s.
Develop strong relationships with individuals, families, and external professionals such as the Care Home Collaborative Team.
To support Manager in relation to plans for recruitment, staff training, and performance management.
Experience and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a management / care setting is essential as is SVQ Social Services and Health Care Level 4 + Management Qualification at 15 Credits or Equivalent.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
