Job Description:
Heart of Newhaven Community SCIO is looking for someone to take forward this new opportunity which funded by the National Lottery Community Fund for 2 years. Funded for 2 days a week, you will use a community development approach to recruit and support a team of volunteers who in turn will offer tailored support to individuals to help them access our activities and services. You will work with our Community Advisory Group to find creative ways of addressing the barriers that we know make it difficult for some people to access our community offer and sustain participation.

Experience and Qualifications:
Proven experience of using a community development approach Experience of working with volunteers Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective communication with a wide variety of stakeholders (including colleagues, volunteers, participants and representatives of external organisations) Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including experience of presenting reports and information to a range of audiences Experience of developing and delivering an evaluation framework Good IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office Excellent time management skills with the ability to organise and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines Ability to work as a member of a team
