Job Description:
Working with the Electrical Supervisor and the Maintenance Manager, the postholder will ensure the efficiency and safety of our electrical installation, distribution systems and related equipment. This will be for planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and support of minor works and projects. The post holder will also work alongside our maintenance contractors in electrical, fire safety and other related systems. This will ensure that high standards of workmanship and maintenance standards are adhered to providing the expertise and experience necessary to support contractors carrying out essential maintenance.
Experience and Qualifications:
This post is essential to support the safe, compliant and comfortable operation of the campus services ensuring the University's interests are promoted with contractors carrying out works on behalf of the University. In addition, this appointment builds resilience, knowledge store and succession planning within the maintenance team. Experience of working in a similar role in a Higher Education environment would be advantageous.
