Job Title: Independent Travel Coordinator

Hours / Days Of Work: Part-time: 30 hours per week. Working 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm.

Job Description:
As our Independent Travel Coordinator, you’ll be part of the Accessibility and Inclusion function, responsible for designing and delivering a tailored travel training programme for young people in secondary education in Edinburgh. This is a meaningful and impactful role where you’ll help shape brighter, more independent futures for young people in our communities.

Experience and Qualifications:
Experience working with children and young people, working with people with additional support needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Confident in presenting to a group in a way that is fun, engaging and easy to understand. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers and both internal and external stakeholders. Keen initiative and problem-solving skills. Experience of risk assessment and risk management. As this post involves working with children and young people, you will be required to join the PVG Scheme (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
