Job Description:
As Operations Supervisor for Highland Explorer Tours, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional on-tour experiences across our Day Tours and Multi-Day Tours in Scotland. Reporting to the Operations Manager Crew & Fleet, you will line manage approximately 50% of the Edinburgh Driver/Guide team while providing hands-on operational support across tour delivery, safety, compliance, training and team development. This is a practical frontline leadership role where you will make confident decisions, support Driver/Guides in real time and help ensure every tour runs safely, smoothly and to the high standards our guests expect.
Experience and Qualifications:
PCV driving licence.
Experience managing frontline operational staff within tourism, transport, hospitality or logistics.
Strong organisational and rota-planning skills, with the ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure.
Confident handling people, performance and welfare matters with fairness, consistency and approachability.
Experience managing Driver/Guides or drivers.
Knowledge of Scottish touring routes and products.
Understanding of drivers' hours regulations.
