Job Description:
As a Portfolio Risk Control Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring mandate compliance across all portfolios managed by Aegon Asset Management UK on both a pre- and post-trade basis, ensuring adherence to client guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. You will investigate any exceptions, support their timely resolution, and proactively identify opportunities to reduce potential exceptions through effective monitoring and stakeholder engagement.

Experience and Qualifications:
Degree educated (or equivalent), preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or related discipline. An interest and basic understanding in financial markets, investment management, risk, or regulatory compliance. Knowledge of investment products such as equities, fixed income, and derivatives would be advantageous but is not essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, with the ability to build positive working relationships across different teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work to agreed deadlines. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to taking ownership of tasks and responsibilities. Naturally curious and eager to learn, with a willingness to ask questions, develop new skills, and continuously improve.
