Job Description:
Lead the development and opening of the new service, establishing high standards from day one.
Build and lead a stable, skilled and motivated staff team.
Create a positive culture based on strong relationships, accountability and high-quality care.
Ensure children and young people receive individualised, trauma-informed and relationship-based care.
Ensure the voice, wishes and experiences of children and young people are central to the service.
Provide effective supervision, support and development for staff.
Monitor staff performance and identify development needs at an early stage.
Maintain strong safeguarding and child protection practice.
Experience and Qualifications:
Several years’ experience of managing an established residential children’s service.
Experience of leading, supporting and developing staff teams.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
Experience of quality assurance, inspection and service improvement.
Experience of staff supervision, performance management and professional development.
Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
The confidence to challenge poor practice and maintain high standards.
Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
A child-centred approach and commitment to achieving positive outcomes.
The ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused when faced with challenge.
