Job Title: School Transport Assistant - Pertemps Scotland Temps

Location: EH16 4BB – You would be required to start at the depot

Hours / Days Of Work: Minimum 20 hours per week on split shifts.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £14.27 per hour

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: Supportive Supervision: Assist and supervise children during their journey, creating a safe, calm, and positive travel experience. Clear Communication: Coordinate with the driver, school staff, and parents to keep communication smooth and ensure each child’s needs are met. Mobility and Equipment Assistance: Help children safely in and out of the vehicle, including those who use mobility aids or specialised equipment.

Experience and Qualifications:
Requirements: Empathy and Patience: A genuine passion for helping children with additional support needs. Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with disabilities is preferred but not essential. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate calmly and effectively with children, families, and team members. Reliability: Punctuality and consistency are essential for building trust with children and families.
