Job Description:
As Senior Housing Officer, you will play a key role in leading the delivery of high-quality housing services, ensuring strong operational performance and positive outcomes for our tenants and communities. You will provide day-to-day leadership of the Housing and Tenancy Sustainment Teams, supporting staff to deliver effective, customer-focused services across areas including tenancy management, income recovery, estate management and tenancy sustainment. Experience and Qualifications:
You will have a minimum of a CIH Level 3 qualification, or an equivalent HNC-level qualification (or be willing to work towards this), alongside a strong understanding of housing management and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. You will bring practical experience of managing a wide range of housing management issues, including arrears control, voids, anti-social behaviour and tenant participation. You will also have a sound knowledge of housing legislation, Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and choice-based lettings. We are looking for someone with experience in a housing association, local authority or similar environment, who is confident managing complex and sensitive situations. You will have experience of handling complaints in line with regulatory requirements and delivering fair, transparent and customer-focused services. Strong partnership working skills are essential, with experience of collaborating with statutory agencies, voluntary organisations and professional partners to achieve positive outcomes. You will be an effective communicator with the ability to lead and support a team, build strong relationships and manage a varied workload.
