Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 per year
Job Description:
You will be responsible for the skilful preparation and artistic presentation of a wide range of desserts and pastries, including cakes, mousses, puddings, sweetmeats, and ice creams. You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment, contributing to the dessert section’s creativity and consistency. You’ll also supervise junior staff and ensure high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Experience and Qualifications:
Eligibility to live and work in UK • Experience in the preparation of authentic high quality pastry & dessert • Technical knowledge of ingredient quality, sourcing, measuring & formulation • Industrial training in a world renowned culinary/hospitality institute • Previous experience of at least 3 years in this role + min 3 years of prior experience in escalating job roles • Relevant Health & Safety credentials and knowledge of HACCP protocols • Resident within commutable distance of up to one hour In addition you should also be:- • Performance, achievement and results driven • Have an eye for detail • Able to work well with others • Creative energetic and passionate about delivering culinary excellence • A hardworking, fastidious and conscientious individual • Sound health and fitness • FAST PACED AND BE ABLE TO WORK AT SPEED AND UNDER PRESSURE
