Job Description:
We’re looking for a hands-on manager to run three busy street food outlets during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer in George Square. You’ll oversee daily service, staff, stock, food hygiene, opening/closing procedures and customer experience across both units. This is a fast-paced festival role suited to someone with strong hospitality, catering or street food experience who can lead a small team and stay calm under pressure.
Experience and Qualifications:
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is Experienced in street food, hospitality, catering, events or quick-service food operations Confident leading a small team Organised, practical and reliable Comfortable working long, busy days in a festival environment Strong on food hygiene and customer service Able to stay calm when queues build and pressure is high Happy to be hands-on — this is not a clipboard-only role Essential Previous supervisory or management experience in food service, events or hospitality Good understanding of food hygiene and allergen procedures Availability across the Edinburgh Fringe period (preferably 6th July to 3rd September 2026) Strong communication skills Right to work in the UK Desirable Food Hygiene Level 2 or above Experience working at festivals, markets, outdoor events or temporary catering units Experience with stock ordering, rota planning or daily sales reporting Knowledge of Edinburgh Fringe operations or high-volume public events
