Job Description:
As a Trainee Healthcare Scientist in Genomics and Molecular Pathology, you will undertake a nationally recognised postgraduate training programme, gaining hands-on experience within the West of Scotland Centre for Genomic Medicine. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to a high-quality diagnostic service for patients across Scotland. This role offers a unique blend of scientific training, clinical impact and personal development. You will be supported to build the skills required to become a registered Clinical Scientist.

Experience and Qualifications:
First or upper second class honours degree in Genetics or a relevant biological science Strong understanding of genetics, genomics and the pathology of human disease Experience of working with standard operating procedures and laboratory protocols Ability to analyse scientific and medical literature and apply findings in practice Excellent organisational, IT and time management skills with the ability to work independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative team approach Enthusiasm for scientific practice and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
