Job Description:
Arrange vehicle and driver resources to achieve efficient collection and distribution of goods. Continuously liaise with production, service and helpdesk to assist in improving overall plant performance. Plan deliveries and collections as stock level dictate. Cover driver holidays / absence where required by the Transport Manager. Note: As Team Leader duties will be minimal at the weekend some of these shifts will include delivering / collecting. Special deliveries/collections as required within working hours. Carry Transport Department mobile phone during duty hours to respond to driver / supervisor / management and customer queries especially important at weekends.
Experience and Qualifications:
It is essential that you have a minimum of 2 years team leader experience and a background in transport, you must also hold an HGV class 2 licence. Driver CPC (required) Tachograph Card (required) Category C Licence (required)
