Job Description:
Maintain and service small plant such as chainsaws and ensure the security of all small plant
and equipment.
Responsible for the 'day to day' maintenance and care of all PPE, plant and vehicles used at
work and reporting back any accidents or defects to appropriate supervisory staff.
Work to and develop where necessary Risk and COSHH assessments and create
Experience and Qualifications:
Appropriate certification to SVQ Level 2 in Arboriculture or Woodland and Forestry, Tree
work or equivalent experience
Knowledge of tree species, disease and identification
A flexible approach to work
Self-motivated and enthusiastic
Ability to work on your own or as part of a small team
Good interpersonal skills and experience of working with the public
NPTC/City and Guilds certification to: -
• NPTC 201, 202 & 203 (CS30, CS31) Chainsaw Maintenance & Operations.
Fell & Process Small Timber
• NPTC 206 & 306 (CS38) Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue
• NPTC 308 (CS39) Chainsaw Use from Rope & Harness. Cutting of Trees
