Our Young Persons Advisers are here to help local young people aged 16 to 24 find the right path—whether that’s employment, training, or education. Our experienced team offers personalised support and guidance, available in person across West Lothian, online, or over the phone—whichever suits you best.

What to Expect at Our Appointments

Our advisers are focused on helping you reach your employability goals. During your appointment, we’ll work with you to:

  • Discover your skills, strengths, and what motivates you
  • Explore your options for apprenticeships, jobs, or further education
  • Identify clear next steps and practical ways to move forward

Once we understand your goals and aspirations, we’ll create a personalised action plan together. This plan will map out the steps you need to take to reach your goals and will include any support or training that might help along the way.

We’re here to support you every step of the way, providing advice and encouragement tailored just for you.

If you would like more information or wish to arrange an appointment please contact access2employment@westlothian.gov.uk or complete our registration form here. And a member of our team will be in contact within 5 working days.
