The Invest in West Lothian team are thanking local businesses for getting involved and making West Lothian Business Week a success.

The 18th – 22nd of May 2026 marked West Lothian Business Week. This was a week-long celebration of local businesses, with an exciting calendar of events and activity taking place throughout the week.

It included 5 exciting events: a Design-Led Innovation workshop featuring David Wray, Managing Director of Grease Monkey, on the Monday; a Simplifying the Business Start Up Process Networking Event featuring a panel of three local business owners, Bill Corbett, Huseyin Can Agdemir, and Karen John, on the Tuesday; a HR: The Essentials for Running a Business webinar on the Wednesday; and a Meet the Council drop in session on the Thursday.

The week ended with the ‘West Lothian Business Week 2026 Networking Event’ on the Friday, where attendees reflected on the success of the campaign and heard from inspiring guest speaker Lindsay Girvan, Owner of Future Vintage, who shared her business journey.

Other highlights from the week included the Invest in West Lothian Advisers taking part in the West Lothian Business Week LinkedIn Challenge, with local entrepreneurs and residents also getting involved, and two new business case studies being shared.

Andy Dunn, Owner of Wee Bari Bites Ltd shared how Business Gateway West Lothian’s Start Up Adviser Laura helped him start his innovative business with confidence. Then, Stephen Wilson, Managing Director of Environmental Filtration Specialists (EFS) shared how the support from Invest in West Lothian has helped the business grow.
