Read and interpret drawings and plans to develop and design welding projects Interpret welding procedures, specifications and standards in engineering construction Lay out, fit, measure and weld metals to create desired shape or object Operate welding equipment Use burning equipment Manufacture using detailed drawings Inspect and test welds for durability as well as meeting specified standards, highlighting any items that do not meet job requirements Inspect, examine and text equipment to determine if repairs or new equipment is needed Complete reports, RAMS, job sheets in a clear and concise manner Detail welding procedures, programmes and work methods Liaise with both internal and external customers Provide updates to Fabrication Supervisor advising of job progress
