Job Description:
Apply Knowledge, Skills and Experience in the field of CAD Engineering and Design to provide a robust and efficient CAD capability, as part of the Technical and Design team in WGM.
The CAD Designer will be an integral part of a high performing team across both Glasgow and Livingston offices that will provide high quality and efficient, multi-disciplinary CAD Design services, to WGM’s various clients and internal business functions.
Prepare suitable CAD drawings and designs to support the work of the Projects and Operational functions of the business as well as providing technical input into projects as required. This could be any combination of Mechanical, Electrical or Civil CAD Design work
Apply knowledge and experience of working in a CAD/Design environment to ensure processes and procedures are adhered to from the outset and CAD standards are maintained throughout the design phase, in line with WGM’s Quality Standards and QMS

Experience And Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous within CAD or design function, previous experience ideally within an engineering or construction environment would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of CAD and commercial awareness of your specialist area of engineering. Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, contractors and others involved in the design process are essential for the role.
