Follow Up Task - 'How I'll Use Digital Platforms'

Once you have reviewed the resources above, please complete the task below.

Why This Matters

Not every social media or digital platform is right for every business. This short exercise helps you practise explaining what platforms do, who uses them, and whether they’re actually useful for a business like yours. You’ll use this thinking later when deciding where to spend your time and effort online.

What You'll Need to Do

You’ll complete the exercise below 4 times, each time focusing on a different digital platform.

  • 1 must be your website
  • 2–3 can be well-known platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • At least 1 should be a platform you don’t currently use much, but which might be useful for your business

Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with a platform yet. Research counts.

How to Complete It

For each platform, answer the questions below in your own words. There’s no “right” answer. We’re looking for understanding, not perfection.

(Once you have answered all of the questions for Platform 1, select 'Next'. This will allow you to add your answers for Platform 2, and so on.)
