No previous experience is needed as our unique 5-month training scheme covers everything you need to know to become a first-class developer. You’ll become proficient in a wide range of skills including cloud infrastructure, programming, application engineering and testing. Working closely with our clients, you’ll be designing and developing the world-class solutions we deliver every day. At the end of your 2-year training scheme you’ll gain a government accredited qualification in Software Development and can expect to be earning around £50,000.

Gain an understanding of all FMS processes and procedures to enable your effective contribution Apply existing design knowledge to help develop a range of products and components across multiple projects Assist product developers within the business with discreet work packages, utilising existing and newly developed skills Support the operations team to solve challenges within our manufacturing areas Collaborate with project leads to determine process optimisation such as yield improvements Author, oversee, and execute protocols, and produce reports Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers, and clients, to effectively communicate and obtain information.

Build reagents / formulate customer solutions to their requirements Execute electrochemical methods for external customer requirements, and internal development programmes Perform tasks on FMS dispensing systems to accurately deposit solutions and perform subsequent gravimetric analysis Manage all on-site chemicals / reagents with regards to inventory, H&S, storage, and containment Execute protocols and summarise the outcome in formal reports Execute and report lab experiments in support of external client projects and internal development programmes Document project work in a compliant manner and in line with the FMS quality management system Provide scientific input into product and process designs ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction Initiate non-conformance reports as and when required Support routine product manufacturing where required.

The successful individual will be undertaking analysis of energy data to help increase efficiency and improve savings for a variety of projects, as well as analysis of the performance of the efficiency measures. Analysis and interpretation of measured energy data. Calculation of energy assessments. Proposals to save carbon reduction, energy, and fuel bills/usage. Become familiar with new technologies e.g. hydrogen gas becoming subject matter for project. Written and verbal communication/presentations on projects and proposals. Managing energy / CO2 emissions performance of existing projects. Enabling clients/customers to optimise their portfolios. Enabling clients/customers to be “future ready” – demographics, technology, climate etc. Energy Performance Certificates. Bespoke/strategic sustainability guidance.
