You will be involved in significant projects in our water division from day one, both locally and nationally. From outline to detailed design, you’ll input through producing drawings and design calculations to help develop a better way to obtain, clean, and distribute water for our communities (e.g. flood alleviation or pollution management schemes). Your day to day will include using mapping software such as ArcGIS, technical report writing, survey specifications and you will have the opportunity to undertake site visits.

The support team sits within the Digital Technology function and is responsible for the delivery and support of application solutions for our UK based Engineering and Manufacturing teams which in turn provides key enabler technologies to drive business operations. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining the full application life cycle and day-to-day operation along with servicing any new business requirements / configuration changes and new stand-ups, utilising industry standard best practice. This role will also play a major part in understanding new business requirements, testing and integration of applications and alignment of interdependencies between application and data sets. Reporting to the Engineering & Manufacturing Service Owner, you will be operationally focused and will support optimal use of application technologies, driving to improve business efficiency, reduce risk and maximise customer engagement, both internally and externally.

As part of the business's growth, they are looking to strengthen their operational teams by recruiting talented graduates who are looking to develop their career in operations management. As an Operations Management Graduate, you will be joining the business on an 18-month training plan developing your people skills, organisational skills and problem-solving skills with the aim of becoming a key member of the site production team. The training programme includes time spent in various departments including quality assessment, planning and production management. There will also be opportunity for head office visits and potentially some international travel.

Candidates should have attained a degree in a relevant discipline, preferably either within business or engineering. Most importantly you should also have a passion for pursuing a career path within procurement. This role will develop to become a key part of the operations team, with responsibility for negotiating contracts and ensuring cost effective supply of MRO commodities. You will also work with other sites within the Group to maximise our purchasing power and obtain the optimum supply route. Specific responsibilities include supporting purchasing projects as required with the implementation of relevant actions, sourcing new suppliers and obtaining competitive quotes for the business, performing benchmarking and value analysis across the current supply chain, the development of supplier relations and ensuring that purchase requisitions and stock items are ordered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
