As a Pipe Fitter you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. manufacturing, repairing and replacing pipe work using a variety of industry standard materials. Day to day, you’ll be responsible for: Documenting and reporting Dimension Control, Traceability and Quality standards. Determining job requirements and planning/configuring equipment materials Installations, inspections, diagnosing problems/faults/leeks, testing, repair and maintenance of various pipe systems. Fabrication, Pipe bending, Welding, pipe fitting on sight (on board ship) Manual Handling, Housekeeping Identify hazards, problems, defects and the need for replacement, adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety Collaborative team working to ensure targets are met; contribute to those of the team as a whole

Follow standard operating procedures in the safe set up and operation of welding plant. Carry out welding tasks in accordance with the essential variables. Visual inspection of completed welds to contract acceptance standards and project requirements. Maintain welding plant functionality. Carry out daily machine checks, ensuring that any fault is reported immediately. Continually improve processes where required. Safely set up and remove any pre-heating equipment. Use of digital and thermal temperature recording devices Control of welding consumables tiles in production environments. The Welder role covers but is not limited to: SMAW process GSFCAW process GTAW process SAW process. Arc Air Gouging Grinding/Burning Basic Visual Inspection Control of welding consumables

As a Fabricator, you’ll be contributing day-to-day by: Undertaking general fabrication activities including below: Structural steel fabrication Working with high tolerances Lining out and marking off Interpretation of drawings, and specifications, for fabrication work Grinding, burning, and drilling Use of disc cutters, guillotine, and band saws Arc air gouging Tack welding Making moulds and Templates Fabrication and fitting ventilation
